Still Bellowing in the Night

Sinar Norma with repaired wide angle bellows and 75mm Super Angulon

This time to repair the Sinar wide angle bellows for use with a 75mm lens on the Sinar in preference to the Linhof. The Linhof is a great camera for use with standard or slightly long lenses at normal distances. For wide angle work or close ups the Linhof is an utter pain in the arse. However, the early Sinar WA bellows had a set of screw pins between the metal plates inside the bellows and the plastic end frame on the outside rear of the bellows. Over the years these pins caused the end frame to break at the pin insertion points

So today’s bellowing was to replace the end frame. Actually easier and neater that I expected. The rear frame of the 10×8″ bellows is aluminium, a much more sensible material

  1. I recently bought a Wista 45, and I’m in love……. It’s been snowing for weeks now, so I haven’t been able to take it out for a while, but I can’t wait……
